An interesting part of my watch collection are four watches produced by Seiko and supposedly sold exclusively for the Philippines market (i.e., not sold in other countries). Two were manufactured and released between 1996 and 2005 while the other two were released as limited edition watches in 2020 and 2021. The latter two specifically have only 1,000 pieces of each and numbered. Here are those watches:

The Tubbataha and the Sunrise - the Tubbataha was a Christmas gift in 2020 while the Sunrise was a late and lucky purchase last May 2022. I say lucky because while there are watches available on the second hand market (including those bought by enterprising people to be resold), I got mine brand new and complete with papers/warrantee at a Seiko Boutique, more than 5 months after its release in the Philippine market. These two are officially recognized as limited editions sold only in the Philippine market.

The SKX399 and SKX401 are unofficial Philippine diver's watches. There are some variations to the story surrounding these two watches, which are variants of the very common 7S26-0020 models that include the mass produced SKX007. These two though have their unique dials and hour markers that distinguish them from the 007. Of the two, the 401 is the more sought after. It was supposed to be rare but there seems to be a proliferation of these at present, easily bringing down the value of the watch. The 399 was also uncommon (as opposed to rare) but there are so many fakes (usually 007s with replaced dials and bezels) going around that the value of this watch is basically down. Good luck finding originals of these two watches for your collections. From what I gathered, both models were manufactured sometime between 1996 and 2005. Anything older or newer will be suspicious.

I was informed by the staff at the Seiko Boutique in SM Aura that there will be another Limited Edition diver's watch coming out in December 2022. This one they said will be a sumo model but there is no information or details yet about what it will look like in terms of colors or theme. The first two were a Monster and a Turtle so the form will be the same as other Sumos. Personally, I hope they release a Titanium model for the Philippine market.
