Bali High - Resort gardens and surroundings

We took a lot of photos around the resort complex including the beach, spa area and other spots that at first would seem ordinary but then you remember that you are actually in Bali and everything Balinese IS authentic!

Gardens at the as seen from the bridgeway from the hotel's main complex to the beachfront tower where we stayed. The main complex is actually located on top of a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. There are two other buildings where guests could stay at that's one on the northeast near the events venues.
View of the gardens on the other side of the bridge - this is the southwest building also for accommodations. One can see a peak a resort construction site on the left side of the photo. The view of the ocean from this building is obstructed by the beachfront tower so I guess rooms here would be cheaper. In the mornings, one can see a lot of monkeys roaming around and foraging among the bushes and trees.
A view of the 15-storey beachfront tower. I stayed on the 8th Floor, which afforded me a very impressive view of the ocean.

One thing I both discovered and confirmed about Bali is that they were able to preserve a lot of their heritage. Much of the Balinese population are Hindu and there are many old, if not ancient, temples and other attractions that we were not able to see due to our schedule. I was quite surprised when roaming around we saw this part of the resort that was an old temple that was retained during the construction.
The amphitheater was probably an addition by the resort and used as a venue for events such as weddings. You can see the resort clubhouse in the upper left side of the photo.
This icon was apparently built unto the cliff and seems to keep watch of the ocean.
Huts at the amphitheater with the Hindu icon in the background - I took this photo so that I could have a perspective of how large the statue was in relation to other structures.

Balinese lamps - these are among the most replicated in many places that have attempted to adapt Balinese architecture in their designs including many residential developments in the Philippines.

The Mandara Spa reception building - the spa is located near the poolside and I can imagine one can hear the sound of the ocean waves from one of the huts where you can have your treatment. This photo serves as a preview of even more photos of the poolside and beachfront areas.
