The wife is an active member of a neighborhood network. They exchange information about food, gardening, security and even exercising outdoors. This provides us with a lot of information about what's good to order from our neighbors who have engaged in the food business. Among those we have enjoyed so far are smoked wagyu steak, gyoza, sushi and of course, cup cakes and pies. More recently, we have tried the strawberry cheesecake from The Chunky Baker. As we have had really good cheesecakes in the past, our only concern was if this was too sweet for our tastes.

The cheesecake came in a tin can - the ones used for ice cream.

Removing the lid of the container revealed this most tempting sight of the cheesecake.

Since it was very soft, cutting a portion was easy. It was the scooping that proved a little challenging.

|
The tin can was appropriate because the crust was just the bottom layer as shown in the photo. Only the can kept the cheesecakes integrity. Otherwise, it probably collapsed.

Our first portion (slice?) of the cheesecake

It looked more like we were scooping ice cream than cheesecake.

The Chunky Baker's strawberry cheesecake was terrific. It was just the right texture and the right sweetness. The strawberries were also just right. Not too soft and not too hard and sour. We thought this was one of the best we've had of this dessert.
