Home-grown strawberries

My father-in-law has become a farmer of sorts during the pandemic. He's planted papaya and other fruit trees around our home, from which we've benefited as they bore fruit. Among those that have been harvested are eggplants, okra, citrus and of course, papaya. Prior to the pandemic, he already had a hydroponics set-up where he grew romaine lettuce and other greens. We didn't know he also tried to grow strawberries there.

There were three but only two grew to be 'harvested' by our daughter. She quickly made a strawberry shake from these.

This was basically an experiment and we don't intend, at least for now, to try growing more of these in our garden. The hydroponics set-up already provides us with a steady supply of greens for our salads. There are also herbs, chili and fruit trees that are now also providing us with spices and fruits (especially the 4 papayas we have around the garden). We have more than enough chili so much so that the birds are also feasting on the excess that we don't pick from the plants anymore. But it doesn't hurt to grow some strawberries for a glass or two of refreshments using homegrown strawberries.
